THE SALE RACK
This machine is a pattern torch used to cut multiple pieces of material to match the original pattern piece. An original is made, then mounted on the overarm located just under the control box. The cutter torch is guided by a motorized magnetic stylus. The base holds a water table, which is filled before placing material to be cut. The workpiece is suspended just over the water which during the cutting process causes almost all of the slag to be removed from the cut, making a very clean torch-cut finish. The table holds 4' x 8' material. The toch can be set up to cut with oxygen/acetylene or oxygen/propane.
Machine is currently dis-assembled and not in use.

North Star Carver

This is a multi-spindle carver. It will cut four stocks at a time to the pattern mounted in the fifth position. I am getting away from the production end of stock carving, and will purchase or build a one-to-one machine when I sell this one. The North Star was originally designed as a furniture carver but has recieved wide acceptance as a stock carver in the industry. It will not cut a drop-in stock like a Hoenig, but will cut a 95% blank. After getting used to the machine and your patterns, you can do closer work than that. This is a manually operated carver, and if you don't pay attention, you can carve four pieces of firewood just as easily as making stocks. With a good pattern this machine is capable of excellent results. In the time we have run this machine we have done contract work for several companies, including Meacham Tool and Die for his Hi-Wall reproduction rifles, and Tokyo Firearms in Japan.

Include are many one-piece and two-piece patterns for both modern and antique firearms, and several shotgun patterns. All the cutters and stylii go with the carver, as well as a table for doing flat-work such as carved panels. This machine is currently set-up but may be taken down shortly to make room for more equipment. It takes about two hours to take-down or re-assemble the carver.
